How do you know if your car’s electrical charging system is faulty? You usually get a warning from the dashboard when the picture of a battery there stays on after you’ve turned the engine on. Usually it happens when the alternator (every car has one, it’s like a car battery charger) works improperly or if the drive belt to it snaps. This almost always requires a new or refurbished alternator.
